Director

Shawni Jackson began dancing at the age of three. She was born to dance since her mom was a professional dancer and her grandmother owned a dance studio. By the age of six, Shawni was dancing in the competitive field and by the time she was sixteen she was teaching jazz, tap and ballet to young dancers. Shawni danced competitively through high school and performed as a member of the Orchesis Dance Team at Corona del Mar. CDMHS and Orchesis are very near and dear to her heart. After high school she danced professionally for several years allowing her to travel the world.

She has always had a passion for dance and is thrilled to be working with the Orchesis Dance Co. and her alma mater. Shawni strives to inspire and teach the girls how important it is to give back while pursuing what you love.

Shawni is married to her high school sweetheart, Bill. They have 3 children.

Coach

Allie Antoyan started dancing at age three in Orange County, California, and was dancing competitively by the age of five. She continued her dance journey through age 18, training and competing in jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, musical theatre, and contemporary.

A proud Sea King, Allie attended Corona del Mar Middle and High School, where she was a four-year member of Orchesis and served as President her senior year. Orchesis has been a family tradition as well—two of her three sisters have also been members, with her older sister joining in 2014 and her younger sister in 2020. Growing up surrounded by Orchesis, Allie has always considered the team a special and meaningful part of her life. While in college, Allie remained involved with Orchesis—whether choreographing, helping backstage, or filling in at practices, she was always eager to give back to the team. After graduating from CDM, Allie attended the University of Arizona, where she earned her B.S. degree in Urban and Regional Development with a minor in Real Estate Development in December 2024.

Dance has always played an important role in Allie’s life, and she is excited to return to her alma mater as the Head Coach of Orchesis. She looks forward to inspiring and leading the team, fostering a positive and supportive environment, and watching each member grow throughout the year.

Once a Sea King, always a Sea King!
